World’s Greatest Shave

We are again showing our support for the Leukaemia Foundation this year by participating in the World’s Greatest Shave! Last year, we had 3 staff members shave their hair and numerous staff colour their hair pink, blue and yellow to support the charity with almost $2,000 raised!

Let’s see if we can beat it this year. If you would like to donate, come by our Brisbane office on Thursday 15^th March!

NEW Gold Coast Fun Run

A new fun run is coming to the Gold Coast! We are the presenting sponsor for what promises to be the Gold Coast’s biggest fun run on April 29 at Skilled Park Stadium in Robina.

It is a family focused event with a kid’s corner, a 1km kid’s dash and entertainment for the whole family. If you are more of a runner, there will also be a 2.5km, 5km and 10km running event as well.

There are early bird entry rates, but you have to get in quick! Early bird rates close on 29^th February.

Mental Health Week – 9th to 15th October 2011

Depression and anxiety can affect anyone at any time. They are very common yet so many don’t discuss their situation because of the stigma and prejudice attached to mental health.

During Mental Health Week, beyondblue is encouraging everyone – individuals, community groups and workplaces – to help raise awareness of depression and anxiety, and reduce the associated stigma.

It is vital that people with depression and anxiety get the help they need. If you or someone you know needs to get help please call beyondblue on  1300 22 4636.

Ipswich Colouring Competition – closes 30 September!

Our Ipswich local contact centre is hosting a colouring competition with the best artwork winning a $100 Mr Toys Toyworld gift voucher.

Trilby Misso Robina is now an office

Our Robina local contact centre now has a busy office upstairs which is overseen by Jaswant Sandhu, a Principal Lawyer. Also in Robina we have Paul Jones (Lawyer) and two legal teams supporting Jaswant and Paul.

Trilby Misso Sunshine Coast opening

On Tuesday, 30 August we officially opened our new Sunshine Coast Local Contact Centre.

Hon Bruce Billson MP, Hon Peter Slipper MP, Deputy Mayor Tim Dwyer and Cr Chris Thompson and many dignitaries from the local area joined us for the celebration.

Ekka holidays and office hours

Next week is Ekka week in Brisbane which means we all get a public holiday.  Some of our local client centres will close on Monday 15th August.

Our Brisbane head office will close on Wednesday 17th August but you can still call us as our client care centre will be open 8.30am to 5pm.

Local contact centres affected on Monday 15 August 2011:

• Morayfield - Closed
• North Lakes - Closed
• Logan - Reduced hours from 10am – 4pm
• Browns Plains - Reduced hours from 10am – 4pm

Brisbane head office changes on Wednesday 17 August 2011:

• Office - Closed
• Client Care Centre - Reduced hours from 8.30am to 5pm (call us on 1800 874 529)

All other local office centres will be open both days.

Trilby Misso now open in Sunshine Coast

On Monday 8th August 2011 we opened a new local contact centre on the Sunshine Coast. The local contact centre is located at 9 Nicklin Way, Minyama and is open Monday – Friday 8.30am till 5pm.

Katie and Debra, our new Client Service Officers, both live in the area and enjoy the vibrant community at Sunshine Coast.

We welcome walk in enquiries and there is no appointment necessary. All initial consultations are free and there is no obligation to proceed with your case. If you do choose to proceed we have a no win no fee policy in place on all work that we do.

If you are already a client and live in the area, we can arrange for you to meet with your lawyer at the Sunshine Coast local contact centre instead of coming into Brisbane.

We also offer free document signing, free parking and the office is accessible by wheelchair.
